We are delighted to announce that following the Ofsted inspection on the 9th January 2019 Broadoak remains a school that we can all be proud of.
Congratulations to all of the school community for securing a great report.
The Ofsted Report is also available via reports.ofsted.gov.uk.
What the inspectors said:
Students see the school as a family; they are proud of it and get on well together.’
The head of school and the Executive Principal have a clear determination to ensure the school provides the best possible education for its students.
Teaching helps students learn well. Inspectors saw outstanding practice.
It does not matter what a pupil’s starting point might be: they are expected to do as well as they can in their learning and behaviour.
‘The systems to ensure that behaviour is good are strong and work effectively. Students recognise the improvement in behaviour over time.’
‘Pastoral leaders and other members of staff know the students very well and use this information to help students do their best.’
I hope you are all managing to stay safe and healthy.
We have been finalising our plans for the Easter break and can now confirm that Broadoak School will be closed from Friday 27th March until Tuesday 14th April. This is due to lack of pupil numbers.
However, for those parents with pre-existing attendance plans, Forest Gate will remain open and will be taking children from Partington Central Academy and Broadoak School (as already agreed). If you do require further support during this period you will need to contact the school directly via email so we can arrange the necessary cover.
A further message will be sent out over the Easter holidays to advise of plans from Tuesday 14th April.
