We are delighted to announce that following the Ofsted inspection on the 9th January 2019 Broadoak remains a school that we can all be proud of.
Congratulations to all of the school community for securing a great report.
The Ofsted Report is also available via reports.ofsted.gov.uk.
What the inspectors said:
Students see the school as a family; they are proud of it and get on well together.’
The head of school and the Executive Principal have a clear determination to ensure the school provides the best possible education for its students.
Teaching helps students learn well. Inspectors saw outstanding practice.
It does not matter what a pupil’s starting point might be: they are expected to do as well as they can in their learning and behaviour.
‘The systems to ensure that behaviour is good are strong and work effectively. Students recognise the improvement in behaviour over time.’
‘Pastoral leaders and other members of staff know the students very well and use this information to help students do their best.’
From June 1st the Partington Hub at PCA will be moving. The provision for pupils of key workers will continue at Broadoak School and the timings of the day will remain the same 8:45 – 3:00pm. When pupils arrive they will be directed to a new temporary entrance.
This arrangement is only for those pupils currently attending at PCA and parents of children in Year 10 will receive further details about plans to return to school from June 15th imminently.
