Last weekend four year 10 students carried out their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh assessment weekend. They were tested on navigation skills, camp craft skills and also had to endure some wicked weather conditions. The group have made huge amounts of progress in terms of confidence in their own ability to navigate themselves across the Peak District; along with working as a team and also caring for the countryside and people or animals they came across on the way. The girls would like to say a special thanks to Miss Wood for organsing and to the following staff: Miss Nevell, Miss Brady, Mrs Mullan, Miss Dunleavy and Mrs Greaves for all their support on both weekends away. All girls have now completed and passed their Expedition section which goes towards the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. Well done girls, you smashed it!
