Maths Key Stage 3

The maths faculty aim for our pupils to be engaged, challenged and successful and as teachers we strive to provide a rich and exciting course to allow all pupils to reach their full potential. Pupils are set by ability throughout the key stage and assessed at half termly intervals to ensure that they are in a class that provides an appropriate level of challenge. Formal end of year assessments are used to give an end of year level to measure progress.

Maths Key Stage 4

From Year 10, students continue their studies towards the GCSE in Mathematics. Students are entered at either Foundation or Higher Tier and are assessed regularly using past examination material. In Year 11, students sit 3 full mock examinations to prepare them for the challenges of the real thing. We provide weekly revision sessions and regular revision materials for pupils to continue their studies at home.
