We pride ourselves on the additional opportunities we provide for pupils at Broadoak. Learning outside the classroom is important to create rounded pupils and we value the importance of enrichment.
Extra curricular activities are a key feature of the school with every possible type of trip and visit to suit all interests and all abilities. Theatre trips, visits overseas and several outdoor and adventure trips are just some of the highlights of the school year, which provide rich cultural experiences for pupils.
Broadoak also holds the accolade of International School status and we have regular visits from colleagues and pupils from all parts of the world. Pupils at Broadoak have a variety of opportunities to represent the school abroad such as visits to the World War 1 battlefields in Europe and to Brussels on Business Studies excursions. We also run the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and encourage pupils to get involved is an many activities beyond the classroom as possible.
A range of activities take place each and every week beyond the classroom.
I hope you are all managing to stay safe and healthy.
We have been finalising our plans for the Easter break and can now confirm that Broadoak School will be closed from Friday 27th March until Tuesday 14th April. This is due to lack of pupil numbers.
However, for those parents with pre-existing attendance plans, Forest Gate will remain open and will be taking children from Partington Central Academy and Broadoak School (as already agreed). If you do require further support during this period you will need to contact the school directly via email so we can arrange the necessary cover.
A further message will be sent out over the Easter holidays to advise of plans from Tuesday 14th April.
